In June of 2008, the contents of my childhood home were packed up and emptied. I found myself overwhelmed by all the memories built into that house––especially the things I knew I couldn't take with me. I began photographing these things in the hours before we swept up and left for good. The above images are some of the results. Note: Inspiration for this project came in part from Donna DuFault (Erb Photography) who found herself in a uniquely similar situation.
